C# How to Upload Image & Store in Database

Hello i would like to find out how can i find upload and store an image to the database.

Im uning C# asp.net in Visual Studio 2012.

what is the datatype for the image in database

and how to call in in the coding?

Hi There Rajeev,

You can have datatype as SqlDbType.Image for storing the data.

You can use below code to insert...

SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("INSERT INTO YourTable(ImageID,ImageName,Image) VALUES (@ImageID,@imagename,@image)", connection);
cmd.Parameters.Add("@imagename", SqlDbType.int).Value = ImageID;
cmd.Parameters.Add("@imagename", SqlDbType.VarChar, 50).Value = imagename;
cmd.Parameters.Add("@image", SqlDbType.Image).Value = Image;
int count = cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
