Gujan, Welcome to the wonderful world of .Net. I know you're probably wanting a more detailed answer than this, but the .Net Framework is to C# what the JRE is to Java, it is the runtime environment. One key benefit of .Net is that it supports several languages (VB.NET, C#, C++.Net, Cobol.NET...) Take a look at some of the articles on the www.c-sharpcorner.com website that give info about the .Net Framework. -James
