bind checkboxlist in wpf using entity framework code First

You hava a Entity Class from DB from Entity Framework Code First, for example City:

public class City
{
[Key]
public int ID { get; set; }
[MaxLength(50)]
public string NameCity { get; set; }
public int ZipCode { get; set; }
}

We have 2 options:

1.- Add a bool property 'not maped' to the City entitiy, and implements INotifyPropertyChanged Interface:

public class City : INotifyPropertyChanged
{
[Key]
public int ID { get; set; }
[MaxLength(50)]
public string NameCity { get; set; }
public int ZipCode { get; set; }
private bool _isSelected;
[NotMapped]
public bool IsSelected
{
get { return _isSelected; }
set
{
_isSelected = value;
OnPropertyChanged();
}
}
public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged;
protected virtual void OnPropertyChanged([CallerMemberName] string propertyName = null) => PropertyChanged?.Invoke(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(propertyName));
}

2.- Create a new model inherits a City Entity with a new bool property, and Implements INotifyPropertyChanged Interface for this new property:

public class CityModel : City, INotifyPropertyChanged
{
private bool _isSelected;
public bool IsSelected
{
get { return _isSelected; }
set
{
_isSelected = value;
OnPropertyChanged();
}
}
public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged;

}

We populate data in our ViewModel:

Add a new ListBox in the view, config your ItemsSource to our ObservableCollection ViewModel and modify its ItemsTemplate for the listbox contains checkbox. We configuere the checkbox binding:

Content --> to NameCity propery of CityModel (or City) Entity.

IsChecked --> To IsSelected property of CityModel (or City) Entity.
