avoid Duplicate records inserting

Each and every table should have primary key. If top of that you have some specific criteria which should not insert like you have column like Name, EmailId and you want to check duplicate for that then you have to use

If Not Exists(select 1 from tableName where Name=@YourParameterName and EmailId = @YourparameterEmailId)

Begin

Instert statement

End

you can use IF NOT EXISTS(condition) to avoid duplicate records insert into SQL server.

CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[USP_InsertEmployeeInfo] @Name VARCHAR(50)

,@Age INT

,@Salary FLOAT

AS

BEGIN

SET NOCOUNT ON;

IF NOT EXISTS (

SELECT *

FROM [dbo].[Employee]

)

)

VALUES (
