You failed to provide the title of the An Introduction to Software Test Automation article. Note that in the vast majority of that article, it says Test Automation, not Automation testing. There is a significant difference in the two terms and if someone wants to be understood by others, it is best that they use the one that expresses their intent the most accurately.

Also, how authoritative is the author of that article for the purpose of defining the term? Simply writing an article without peer review and without being recognized by other recognized authorities does not qualify a person to be an authority. The article helps, and to the extent that it is authoritative, it supports what I said about testing automation compared to automation testing.

Notice that the two terms automation testing and Test automation are not the same. Automation Testing implies testing automation, but not testing using automated techniques. The testing could be automated but the term Automation Testing does not indicate whether the testing is automated. The term Test automation implies that testing is performed by (using) automation. I think the term automation testing would be confusing.
