Hey,

You need to make two changes,
1. First change top of your web Method in Code behind file,
[ScriptMethod(ResponseFormat = ResponseFormat.Json)]
System.Web.Services.WebMethod]
public static List<string> GetAutoCompleteData(string name)
2. you need to change your Ajax method,

There are many ways .out of them may use either jQuery Autocomplete or ASP.NET AJAX Toolkit Autocomplete

Hey in your script you have declare url: "CustService.asmx/GetAutoComplete", but in CustService.asmx you have declare GetAutoCompleteData() method.
