An Assembly is a unit of files that contains IL code Corresponding to a project when it was compiled.Name of a Assembly will be same as project name from which it was created.Assembly where known as units of deployment assembly file can have an extension of either exe or dll.
Assemblies are of 2 Types
1. Private Assemblies 2. Shared Assemblies

Namespaces are designed to solve naming collision problems. You can have, for example, two different classes with the same name. Placing them in different namespaces can solve the problem. it is just work like directory They form the logical boundary for a Group of classes.

Name spaces are those which we add in our application for using particular inbuild classes of dot net for eg if you want to use mailing functionality then you will have to add using System.Net; Using System.Net.mail namespaces.
