ASP.Net Whidbey

If you are MSDN subscriber, I believe Whidbey preview is available for download from MSDN downloads.

Only if you are a Microsoft solution provider, publisher, or author.

Is it possible to join as a beta tester?

Part of beta testers + PDC. We are under NDA and can't talk much about it.

Where do you guys get these pre-release versions? I want that too! Master pages -functionality seems pretty nice.

I have installed Whidbey on Longhorn as well as XP. Will start exploring it very soon.

Microsoft has created a big wave of excitement with all the new white-papers and slide-shows. I just can't wait to get my hands on it! (i wasn't at the pdc ) I am curious if anyone ordered the whidbey versions via the msdn subscriptions... - dip

You are not suppose to share thoughts until the public beta ;) Any way, its cool. Is there any thing specific you are looking for? They have taken care of many bugs and has improved controls (data binding specifically). Now ASP.NET has more custom controls. There is a book available from Addison Wesley, which covers ASP.NET 2.0 in details.
