The error is because the web server is not configured to show the list of directory, we shouldn't be showing it also.

To fix this issue, set an ASPX page as default in your ASP.NET page. An index.aspx or default.aspx.

Select your form from solution Explorer and Right Click ---> Set as start page and run it.

What kind of project is this? ASP.NET MVC or just normal ASP.NET (aspx based)?

hi mithun i have tried the solution that is mentioned in this error viz enabling the IIS express directory and run appcmd command

I assume this is ASP.NET MVC project, if so then you need to have a Default Controller & action method i.e. Home/Index.

Can you mention what solutions you tried?
