how to set div element visilibity to false in code behind without setting it to runtat="server"

in page.aspx

ex:divSearchCriteria.visible=false;

hi thanks to all

i have two pages like pag1 and page2 in page1 i am binding data to a div element through
xslt and has some links which navigates to page2 if i click a link in page1 it navigates
to page 2 so here i want to hide the page2 div element whn i navigate and its working alone if we access page2 how to acheive this with javascript or can we use other.Thanks

Hello Sai, Shubham Kumar Comment is correct. Because in code behind it can t possible get div id/properties with out mention runat="server" attribute. So you need div hide and show use plain HTML and Java script only. Like below
