ajax-call function

hi this is kavita can anyone help me how to use Ajax? I m new in Ajax. I simply want to call some of my server side function at client side to speed up the process. functions are simple taken value from a textbox do some processing and return a string value. please help me?

If you download the Microsoft Ajax extensions, you don't even have to write any code. After downloading the extensions, you simply add a script manager control, and put the controls that need to use AJAX in an update panel. The Ajax framework takes care of the rest.

You can donnload it at AJAX.asp.net. Of course, the framework also lets you call code to do the same. There are plenty of examples on that site.
