Right now it is. AI is reaching AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) stage and some experts are claiming that it will soon be making decisions similar to humans can. However, the next phase of AI is ASI, Artificial Super Intelligence which is supposedly doing to be much smarter than humans. Imagine ASI being in robots with guns .. that no one can say what will happen. Also with the race between China, USA, and other countries, and not all companies are working together, AI is definitely not controlled by humans. It will be very interesting next 10 years to see how far AI goes
