Accessing data from non sharepoint Platform into sharepoint

Hello All,

There is requirement from customer where in we need to create application where all the users (including non-office 365 users) can access the data from sharepoint(Security should be applied where user is able to see only those items which are assigned to him) .

Also there should be approval mechanism from non-Office 365 can also be able to approve the request without login into the sharepoint environment.

Is this functionality Possible

Why don't you use external sharing access.

Hi Shraddha,

Here is my approach based on my knowledge and experience.

In order to grant access for external users to the application which is hosted on a SharePoint online configure external sharing. You may choose any of these options based on your need.
Sharing only with external users in your directory
Sharing with authenticated external users
Sharing with anonymous users

In order to secure the content based on current logged in users you may configure the view to filter the items that are assigned to current user. You may further configure item level permissions.

In order to approve the request without login into the SharePoint environment you shall consider using Microsoft Flow
