Access computer in another domain through WMI

Hi Guys,

I wrote a code that access a remote computer and fetches WMI data (Windows services to be precise)
The remote computer of which I am fetching the data is on the same domain

Was wondering if we can access a computer on a different domain through WMI ? How can we do this ?

Yes, it may not be working due to firewall settings though there are some other possibilities as well.

yes i have a similar code. but this does not work for a computer in a different domain. may be because of firewall ?? not sure.. i am searching for a way to connect to a computer in a different domain ie computer in domain "A" connects to one in "B"

It should be possible to do this. The code would be something like below, though you might need to set further properties for the ConnectionOptions object (see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.management.connectionoptions.aspx):
