i have got a usercontrol residing at the server. i want the usercontrol to be passed to the client thru web services ie if a client request for a usercontrol web service is supposed to send the usercontrol to the client. How to achive it? Any idea? can usercontrol be serialized?

YES SIR! I love doing this! You need to add "[Serializable]" right before where you declare the class. You can add "[NonSerialized]" before any member you dont want it to save. Then you can serlize it and send the string across in whatever you manner you want. Then deserlize and set it to the object on the client and you are back in business.
